Our grey 2014 Nissan NV 2500 cargo van with the 4.0L V6 (261 hp). Its 7,000-lb tow rating gives us about 1,500 lbs of margin over the trailer's 5,500-lb max — plenty of van for the way we travel.

Mods & Upgrades
Outdoor shower setup: we added a shower hose to the trailer's outdoor faucet with a pop-up privacy tent — our favorite way to stretch a 31-gallon fresh tank.
Lithium battery upgrade (June 2026): swapped in a HumsiENK 12V 314Ah LiFePO4 battery (4019Wh) with a 200A BMS and low-temp cutoff — real off-grid staying power for the solar setup.
